OPAL SOLID 18.84 CTS - 20 x 30MM. MULTI COLOURS GREY/SEMI BLACK B. MATERIAL FROM MINTABIE FIELDS SA. This type 1 opal creation has been cut to form a large oval shaped design and displays a'picture stone' pattern with light and dark grey streaks running through a mass of pinpoints and flashes of colour including red, orange, greens and blues. It is rated by me as N7 - N8 in body tone and has a brightness of around B3.
Shaped as an oval, it has been finished with a flat top and low cabochon on the bottom. It weighs 18.84cts and measures 20mm x 30mm and is 3mm thick. The attached photos form an integral part of the description - a photo of the reverse side has been included.
Apart from cropping they have not been enhanced in any way.
